Lea Test and M&S Technologies have an exclusive partnership to present Lea Symbols© and Lea Numbers© in the Smart System Visual Acuity Systems. The Lea Symbols and Numbers provide validated tests that utilize Dr. Hyvärinen's carefully developed shapes and numbers. The shapes are easily recognizable by patients of varying verbal skills.

According to Dr. Hyvärinen, Lea Numbers were, "developed for international studies in occupational health and school health services. Letters like the Sloan letters are used in the Western world and in the old colonies of western empires but not in a large part of the rest of the world whereas numbers are the same world over. The four numbers 5,6,8 and 9 were chosen because they could be designed to blur equally.™

Three-Dimensional Animated Fixation Targets This innovative approach allows for the interface of animated targets, or other fixation devices, to be controlled and operated through the Smart System keypad, remote control or foot-pedal.
